Surya Namaskar

Surya Namaskar is one of the basic Asanas in Yoga. It is a salutation towards the Sun god (Surya Deva). It is preferable to perform this Asana before and after the sun-set as well as sun-rise. It should be performed in the outdoors facing the sun.

Surya Namaskar is a simple 12 steps process which should be executed as mentioned in the pictograph by controlling the breathing regulations. It is said that Surya Namaskar gives immense energy to our body and mind. You can perform the Surya Namaskar starting from Step 1 to Step 11 as per the instruction provided in the pictograph. It is advisable to be trained by a yoga guru or a yoga instructor before performing Surya Namaskar.
